Singing Our Way Home with Áine Tyrrell

TUES 21 JUL

1PM + 3PM

Áine Tyrell comes from a lineage of song and truth telling, daughter of revered Galway singer Seán Tyrrell, a man too traditional for some and not traditional enough for others. He never treated tradition as static, always discovering richer layers, interesting sounds, and rebel company. Áine not only inherited his songbook and his multi-instrumentalist hands. She also inherited his dreamer's vision, and permission to keep pushing past the boundaries. Growing up inside a tradition means learning its rules first, then spending years breaking free of them without ever losing the roots.

Áine is an award-winning fearless multi-instrumentalist, storyteller + community builder. She weaves culture, resistance and social change into a living sonic practice for her generation. This is a rare seat at the table to hear story, song and tradition as living Irish culture and language. She will bring you into it, exactly as it's meant to be carried forward, voice to voice, not preserved behind glass.. Learn More
